Letter from SECNAV Welles to Henry Flanders of Prize Commission, Philadelphia, PA, 9 July 1862 regarding Lt. Crosby of U.S. Army and a private vessel, the Fanny. Flanders hoped to collect prize money for reporting Lt. Crosby but this was not the case.
